Who Is Woodlands Church?
Woodlands Church exists to make disciples who move mountains. As we seek to become Jesus' disciples, we gather regularly to worship God, learn His Word, and be equipped for the mission He has given us. On Sundays, we come together for worship and Biblical teaching; during the week, we gather in homes to grow in our relationships with God and one another and our likeness to Jesus.
Jesus made His mission clear; "Go make disciples." We believe Jesus' mission is our mission, and at Woodlands Church, we spend our time investing in the lives of others. In relational discipleship, we challenge one another to live by God's Word and follow his leading through the power of the Holy Spirit.
What Do We Believe?
In Summary, we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; it is timeless, truthful, without error, and the standard by which to evaluate all of life.
We believe in one God, creator of all things, who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who loves us and desires a relationship.
We believe God sent His son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. He lived a sinless life, died as a sacrifice for our sins, was (bodily or physically) resurrected to life, and now sits at God's right hand in heaven. We believe that Jesus' death and resurrection are the only means by which we are saved.
We believe the Holy Spirit is permanently present in the lives of all believers. We are given wisdom, courage, conviction of sin, and direction for our lives through the Holy Spirit, leading us to glorify Jesus and grow in Christlikeness.
These are a few of the ten essential beliefs we hold at Woodlands. On these essential beliefs, we have unity; on non-essential beliefs, we have liberty, and in all beliefs, we show love.
